About Vision360

Church planter Steve Johnson, together with Al Weiss, President, Worldwide Operations, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, felt a call by God to begin to multiply churches.  Originally the goal was to start 20 churches surrounding the city of Orlando, strategically using qualified and experienced church planters.  Since the inception in 2004, Vision360, formerly Vision USA, has grown in North America and has plans to connect globally in the near future.

It is the call of every Christian to do everything in their power to see their generation reached with the Gospel.  Unfortunately, less than 18% of Americans attend a church on any given week.  In rapidly growing cities like Orlando, only 14.7% (data gathered from www.theamericanchurch.org) of the population attends a church.  America has already moved to a post-Christian culture, and unless there is a dramatic change in the trends, we will quickly move to a post-church culture.

Starting churches is not an easy task.  Historically there is approximately a 25% success rate in new churches becoming self-sustaining after five years.  Over the past 20 years, the ministry of TeAMerica has started over 500 churches across America and has achieved over an 80% success rate.

Vision360 is a multi/non-denominational ministry committed to seeing transformational churches started.  Our mission statement is to serve and empower a collaborative church planting community in 500 global cities by 2025.  The goal is to see at least 50 cities across the United States impacted by this ministry with at least 1,000 churches started.

There are both theological and practical reasons why the church is the most effective means to reach a generation.  Theologically the church was started by Christ and functions under His authority with the mission of reaching the world with His message of love and salvation.  Practically, once a church is started, it not only sustains itself by reaching more people with the Gospel, but it also can help start other churches.  Exactly what happened 2,000 years ago can happen today if we unleash the power of the local church.

To accomplish this goal, an infrastructure made up of assessing, coaching and training has been built which includes a thorough assessment of prospective church planting candidates.  A key ingredient of the plan of Vision360 is to include successful business leaders to help refine strategy and ensure proper execution.

Each city will have a City Catalyst who will work closely with the pastors to recruit church planters and business leaders, assess church planters at the national assessment center, raise the funds necessary for the church planters and then supervise the church plants.  After money has been raised, each city movement becomes self-sustaining as each church plant will then give back 5% of their general fund offerings to fund future church plants.

Our Mission Statement
