History of Vision360
Vision360 was originally started (November 2004) to target the need for more churches in the greater Orlando area. Founding partners included Al and Doreen Weiss, Steve and Lynne Johnson and Converge Worldwide.
The intention of Vision360 was to be a multi/non-denominational movement that would saturate Orlando with new churches. These new churches would cooperate together in reaching their city for Christ.
Shortly after its inception, there was a deep sense from God that this model needed to expand all across the United States. Many partners have emerged and presently, Vision360 is working in numerous cities across the United States.
We have been given a GREAT vision to meet a HUGE need...
There has never been a more important time than right NOW to start effective church ministries. The message of the Gospel is the greatest answer to the problems of our current generation, yet less than 18% of Americans attend church on any given week. And that is only the beginning!
In the US there is a net loss of over 2,400 churches each year. That means that every four years, with a growing population, the United States has 10,000 fewer churches. Without a rapid and intentional church planting strategy, many areas of our country will enter a post-church era.
In these uncertain times, we seek to bring the hope of Christ to this Generation. We believe God is calling us to risk everything in order to change this trend.
